Could not open server id file

I did a new Domino Server 6.1.2 cf1 installation; then I copied the entire\lotus\domino\data folder from the old server over to the new server without overideing the .ntf files. When the new server starts up,

the console shows: Server exiting, could not open the ID file. please help!!

(The server id file is located at \domino\

data\id\server.id)

I am assuming you updated your notes.ini file with the correct new path to the server ID?

Hi,

sometimes the simple things are causing the most problems. Did you copy the old directory from a CD, then perhaps there is a write protection on the files that you copied.
