I recently upgraded one of my clients from R5.0.3 to R6 and whenever they attempt to print out an email that email appears garbled. It prints strange characters.
The printer seems to print fine from all other applications with the exception of Notes.
I tried upgrading the client from R6 to R6.0.1 and this did not resolve the problem. I have also tried deleting and reinstalling the printer to get a fresh set of the printer drivers without any luck.
Any ideas?
Subject: Same problem here
Since updgrading to R6, any email that I print is garbeled. Even ones that are composed in Notes. However, there is no strange characters, but all the words are compacted together. Tried uninstalling and re-installing r6, but didn’t help.
The funny thing is that all the emails look great in Print Preview.
Subject: Solved it!
At least for our situation. We fixed it by going into User Preferences and changing the Default Sans Sarif font in the Default Font settings from MS Sans Serif (defautl) to any other font (like Modern or whatever). Then exited/restarted Notes and changed it back to MS Sans Serif, and exited/restarted Notes again. Emails print fine now.

I was not able to determine the cause of this particular issue, but I change the printer from a Borther HL-1240 to an HP LaserJet 4 Plus and the problem went away so I am assuming it was some sort of bug in the Brother print drivers(I had already tried reinstalling the drivers and that did not seem to correct the priblem).
