I am currently setting up a Domino server for our company. We are all currently using Outlook with individual address books. I can combine these address books into a .CSV for vCard file, but how do I get these address books imported into our Domino server so everybody can begin seeing them? I understand this may be a broad question, but can somebody please help me as to where to begin? Thanks!

Your Domino Directory should only be used for people registered in Domino. You may want to look at Directory Assistance, so that you can import all of these personal address books into a company-wide “vendors/customers” directory. It will be accessible by all.
You can export all of the names as CSV files and then import them into your secondary address book using File - Import. You may have to massage the data so that it imports properly. Or, you can define the fields by putting the field names in the first row of the spreadsheet. Those field names have to match the Domino Directory field names.
There are probably some good tips in this forum.

Thanks Gregg,
If I am understanding you correctly all our people in the company will be using the Domino server with user accounts. With this being said, everybody will be registered in Domino?
I am having trouble with the terminology IBM uses here. When you speak of the Domino Directory, are you referring to the physical directory on the server? I know everybody will have their own personal address books, I just want to create a corporate address book for everybody, but I have no idea where to start. Replica, messaging or whatever it is I am a bit lost on it.

“With this being said, everybody will be registered in Domino?”
If they will authenticate to the Domino server in order to get mail or have access to any Domino applications, yes.
“are you referring to the physical directory on the server?”
Yes, I am talking about the file, names.nsf (which is called the NAB or Domino Directory or DD).
Leave the Domino Directory for only the people in your company (consider this your ‘corporate address book’). Then, use Directory Assistance and create a second Directory which you will populate with your company’s vendors/customers/contacts. The Administration Help will assist you with this. Or you can post here.
Once you create the second Address Book, your users can replicate it locally, if they are mobile users.
