We have an application for daily report where there is 4 document created daily for each section before it is summarized into another document by calling - doc.CopyAllItems(subdoc, False) -
It works well and copied everything correctly except in the case where the summary contain more than one document link. In that case all the link looked all right (when mouse hovered indicated the right database link) but when clicked would go to the wrong document. Also the second document link and so on is coverted into database link.
I assume that this got to do with the field $Links, but not sure how to correct this isssue. It seemed that there can only be one $Links field but it can contain mutiple value, am I right ?
FYI, previously we use the “True” parameter but got problem with attachment (only one attachment can be viewed since the $File is replaced)

If this is inconveniencing you, please call Lotus Support and raise it as an issue. It will get fixed if enough customers complain about it.

Andre
So what I experienced is a known issue then ?
And I assume that the number you gave me is a reference number of said issue ? Is there any place where I can find more detail about this, since Google cannot find that number ?
If that is correct and I’ll probably submit a PMR to IBM support since we have at least 4 application that uses this method and therefore all four are bound to have this problem sooner or later.

Subject: SPR KWEL4ZLN6R - IBM support couldn’t find it
I have log my problem with IBM support.Unfortunately he couldn’t find the SPR Andre mentioned, so he has to poured over all issues realted to notesDocument.CopyAll Items.
I hope he find the issue in question

The SPR is there. Please call back and have them escalate the SPR to someone who knows how to search the “All SPRs - By SPR ID” view.

Sorry to be a bother Andre but can you be more specific ?Where can I find this “All SPRs - By SPR ID” view that you mentioned ? At least I can tell the support personnel where to look instead of patiently waiting while he plunder around.
I feed the number to Google and Notes/Domino Fix List database and found no match on both of them, so I assume that this view must be located on some IBM internal database.

You do not have access to this information; I just want you to tell that to the tech so they will know where to look. The SPR isn’t in the fix list database because it hasn’t been fixed.

And tell them that Andre sent you
Subject: SPR KWEL4ZLN6R - Will be resolved on next version ?
Andre
I just receive reply from the support person. He found the SPR you mentioned but said that it is related to notesDocument.CopyItem while my problem is caused by notesDocument.CopyAllItems. Thus he created a new SPR # ASBE7FQ3ZP and APAR # LO30765
Unfortunately it seemed that there is no workaround for this problem and I have to wait until the next version where a fix “might” be released.
Oh boy, I wonder what my manager will said once he heard about this.

The fact that there’s an SPR means that it’s a known issue. All software has bugs, though, and those bugs will be fixed more-or-less in the order of customers affected, so if you want to see the priority for this fix elevated you’ll need to report the problem to customer support.
