I have this situation Have two forms distinct no parent child relationship.
I want to copy text from a field on one form to a field on the other form.Any ideas on how I should go about it or if you could point me to a previous post or article on the subject.Thanks in advance

What are you opening second form from first form at that time it should be copied or what? If this is so then you can use Query_String.

As kgaurav indicates, there’s more information that we need to help you with this. How you would do it, depends very much on the circumstances in which you wish to do it. Is it during a “compose” operation? Do you need to keep the fields in sync going forward?
There actually is no data stored in forms. The data are in documents. Since there is not a parent-response relationship, how will you identify which document contains the data you want to copy?
