Has anybody got this to work?
I have tried to use this but it only creates a stub of the profile document. And this is the same result as when you create a new database without this property enabled.

Subject: Copy profile documents with design
It’s not supposed to “work”. Profile documents are not considered part of a database design.

Except that it’s a new feature in R6. If that’s not what it’s supposed to do then what is this flag in the database properties?
It would appear from the standard help that this is exactly waht it’s supposed to do

Ah … sorry - I see the option that you are refering to now, under the Master Templates options
Sorry, but I’ve not worked with that option.
Subject: Copy profile documents with design
This is a very old topic, but just in case someone stumbles across it, I figured out the problem I was having at least.
When I created my profile forms I deselected “Include in Search Builder” and “Include in Print.” Once I selected those options and edited/saved the profile in the main template, the values in the profile were pushed to the databases created from that template.

Hi, you write about ‘profile forms’. This issue occurs to ‘profile documents’. I found an article on IBM support database saying that this property doesn’t work for 6.0.1. I guess it does work for 6.5.1
How about the following scenario:
profile documents are stored in the template.
Databases are created from that template, profile docs are copied.
the profile doc is changing in the template
a refresh design is issued to the databases.
Question: will the profile docs within databases update or not ? Has anybody tested this ?
