Every time when I copy text from the Internet and try to paste it into Lotus Notes, Notes appears to hang, and after 2-3 minutes it finally pastes the text into Notes.
Any ideas?

It’s because the default paste is “Rich Text” so I guess it is converting the HTML to rich text.
Try using Paste Special and selecting text only instead.

Yes that is what is happening but it should not be taking so long. I see the same problem myself from time to time. It seems to make a difference of how much you want to paste or maybe what you want to paste.
A small simple paragraph pastes very quickly but a full webpage with graphics takes forever.
One would think that Notes was downloading all of the graphics to place them inline but it does not even do that graphics are not displayed.
A paste of the same page into Word, also takes a considereable amount of time but not near the amount of time as in Notes. Plus graphics are copied to the Word document, unlike Notes.

Thank you. What I have been doing is pasting to Word first and then into Notes.
