Copy as table - Corrupt Data?

I’m having an issue with the Copy as Table function in the notes client ( 7.0.2)

So far, this only occurs from a specific view in 1 database, but that only means that no one else has reported the error in other databases.

If I select several records, and click EDIT - Copy as Table, and I paste the info into an email or excel, the table is incorrect It duplicates some items, and drop others. It also pasted them in a different order then they were in the view.

If I click on the document link for some of the duplicated records, it opens the correct doc.

Some info from the view:

  • there are only 2 columns: Training class & Person Name

  • Each user record may have 1 or more classes listed in the Training class field (multi-value field) and the view shows all the classes, then each person who was in it.

The column Training Class has the option: Show multiple values as separate entries enabled.

I’ve rebuilt the view index, the Full Text index, and then rebuild all the views. I ran a fixup on the db.

Suggestions?

anyone have some additional insight on how the copy-to-table function works that may help me troubleshoot this?

I had the similar problem before. Don’t know the solution.

Now I use the following way to export the selected docs:

  1. Open excel to create a new excel worksheet, and choose the menu “Data” – " Import External Data" – “New Web Query”;

  2. Type “http://servername/foldername/db.nsf/viewname?OpenView&Count=10000” in the Address bar, and press Enter or “Go” to get the data in that view;

  3. Click “Import” to get the data in current page; and click “OK”.
