Subject: convert enterprise to utility?
The chief difference from utility and enterprise is that enterprise can host end-user mail files. If you don’t want to reinstall then I would stop tasks you don’t need – like calendar connector and other tasks.

Thanks - will do - Now is it possible to install the Notes client without mail / calendar support??
Subject: RE: convert enterprise to utility?
Yes it is. When you create the user chose to none for the mail type. After the user creation and when the client is being installed the mail portion of the Lotus Notes client will not work.

Subject: RE: convert enterprise to utility?
We have 2 Enterprise servers (5.0.12 & 6.5.1) and are currently considering converting to Utility servers.
With the 5.0.12 server, for existing accounts we have the option to change the Notes client license from Lotus Notes to Lotus iNotes/Domino CAL.
However, on the 6.5.1 server, the options are limited to:
Lotus Notes
Lotus Notes Mail
Lotus Notes Desktop
Lotus Notes Designer
Lotus Notes Administration
Is it legally ok to remain at enterprise and pay for utility if we do not use per-user mailboxes and disable associated tasks? Further, can the license on new accounts on the 6.5.1 server be left at Lotus Notes?
TIA
