I’d like to use the roaming feature for some users but I don’t want to give them a personal journal by default. How do I select which databases to create on the server? I’ve also noticed the journal & bookmark are automatically selected for replication but the address book isn’t, unless I delete the journal from the server - odd.
Subject: Controlling roaming files
I’d like to use the roaming feature for some users but I don’t want to give them a personal journal by default. How do I select which databases to create on the server? If you register a new user with Roaming privileges, the user will automatically have all 3 roaming databases (bookmark, personal address book, & journal). If it is an existing user who is being upgraded to Roaming, the journal will roam only if the journal exists on the 1st machine they upgrade on. In addition, the file name must be ‘journal.nsf’. If the file name is not journal.nsf, then the personal journal will not be included in the upgrade to Roaming.
I’ve also noticed the journal & bookmark are automatically selected for replication but the address book isn’t, unless I delete the journal from the server - odd. Not sure what is going on here - haven’t heard reports of this.
