In a fulltext search the “contains” keyword no longer works.The search
field subject contains meeting
no longer returns documents while
field subject = meeting
does.
in R7 contains works.
Any ideas ?

Subject: Just tried, seems to work, but will get additional checking done…
did both freehand and using “more” option on search bar
in my case it was: field BriefDescription contains “CD7”.
Worked like a champ.
Does it not work for you under particular circumstances or all of the time?
