Hi, out of no where, the password to our Notes 6.02 server console was set, and none of the administrators know who set it, or why it was set? (Possible Virus?) My question is how do I disable it? I recently added myself to the Full Access Administrator a little while ago, may this have caused it to set a password on the console?

little cheat for you, if you delete the line from the Notes.ini it is disabled. The password is shown encrypted at the end I think…

and, of course, crash the server and restart.
And no, full access admin couldn’t have had anything to do with it. Some set it and isn’t owning up to it becuase they forgot the password they used.

if you down the server and remove the line from Notes.ini then it will be disabled, it’s simple…

You can’t quit the server without knowing the password. This is why I said you have to crash it.
Subject: No need to crash the server, use the notes.ini editor in webadmin instead.
On the “Configuration” tab, “Server” node, “Notes.ini” entry.(You need to have FULL ACCESS Administrator rights though when you log on - It’ll say so in the startup page)
