Console and logs almost empty

Hi

I have a puzzling issue where we have 2 Domino on Linux set virtually identical.

The first one gives me some logs (Mail mostly) but the other one gives me nothing. No mail routing, no replica no logs etc…

Debug monitor is set to 16, Logs are set to Verbrose, Console log enabled, level 2 etc…

I get almost nothing on the console or the log.

Other servers run 5+gig of log. This one, while great for space is really not helping me.

Only difference between those and the others is that they are on Linux.

I kind of like watching the console go wild. It let me see what is going on and pride myself I do not have to search an exchange log…

Any one has some Idea on this one?

Thanks a million

Jacques

On the server console issue the “sh server” command and see what the state of console logging is. When the server is stopped try removing/renaming the console.log file. If it gets corrupted it can prevent logging.

Jim.

thanks for the quick response. I deleted that file along with the Log.nsf. Still noting (or almost) on the console or the logs.

The only difference in this case is that this server has been clowned from the original one we build (just the basic linux side). The server was setup as normal (New ID etc.)…

I checked the INI’s and they are identical (minus the names)

I will brush the config and server docs … Maybe I will see something there.

Checked the INI, server and config docs… no differences.

Any Idea. I guess I can OPenup a PMR too…

Looks like I read the filtering part (events4.nsf) wrong. Not sure if it was a language barrier or other…

Removed all filtering documents and now, I see what my server is doing.
