we might upgrade our Lotus Notes 4.6 to Lotus Notes 6.5 Server.
Anything important that we shud take note during the upgrade?
Client side? Must we install the Lotus Notes 6.5 on their workstation oso?
any other thinf important to take note?
Subject: Consideration of upgrading server
I’ll leave the server out of it – there’s a lot to do there – but upgrading the server to D6.5 and leaving the clients at R4.x is really doing your users a disservice. Not to mention that if anyone is sitting at R4 and finds out that you’re keeping “Copy selected as table” from them, there will be an angry mob with axes, pitchfoks and torches gathering outside your office door. The client has gained a LOT of functionality, and the R4 client can’t take advantage of ND6+ templates, Formula Language, LotusScript, etc…
