Hi,

I have couple questions, I have a server A and I need a NEW server B capable of use as web server, web mail, in addition I need a second Domino Directory (for customer authentification), in other words:

  1. The users of “server A” can access their mail from web using “server B”

b) The “server B” will have a couple databases in web (users from server A and customers in second domino directory in server B need access them)

what steeps I need to configurate on servers for these tasks?

Set up Directory Assistance on Server B to allow users in second directory to authenticate via Web. The Administrator Client’s Help has articles on Directory Assistance configuration. Be sure to change Trusted for Credentials from No to Yes to trust the users in secondary directory for Web authentication.

Users in primary and secondary directories will need Internet Password specified in their Person documents.

I created second directory, but in this point I have a question, how I configure it? I have a replicate of the names.nsf of server A in server B, and this directory has configuration server documents and more things, but, in the second directory is empty, what information should are there?

By the way, when I activate the directory assitance, I loss the access and rigths on server B, for fix this I need get Full Access and set off the directory assistance…

last question, in my replica of names.nsf on server B, I can´t see no body in people or groups view, but I´m capable of log in me on web (my user is on server A on names.nsf), any suggestions?

The secondary directory should contain Person documents for the external users. At a minimum populate the first, last name, username, short name and Internet password fields. Create a new document in Directory Assistance database to point to the secondary directory. Update the Server document - Basics tab to specify filename of Directory Assistance database and restart server.

On the other issue with names.nsf replica, may be related to the directory type specified.
