ComputeWithReference doesn't create a response document, is that right?

Hi,When I use forward function in notes mail template(R6.5) to forward an email, I found the email forwarded is not a response document of original mail, this is not same as reply function which create a response document with $REF field in it. But if we read the design help for this command, it tells us this command create a response document from the mail document, is this wrong on the design help?

The mail issue I want to do is to get the connection with the original document using this command, not Compose command. so if there are no $REF created, can we use other way to get the connections?

Thanks a lot for any help,

Subject: ComputeWithReference doesn’t create a response document, is that right?

The formula I have for (one of) the forward button(s) with ComposeWithReference that comes with the StdR655Mail template is:

REM {R6 Style Full Forward};

@If(@UserName = @GetProfileField( “CalendarProfile”; “Owner”);

@Command([ComposeWithReference]; “” ; “Memo”; 1 + 2 + 32 + 64);

@Command([ComposeWithReference]; @MailDbName ; “Memo”; 1 + 2 + 32 + 64))

Since it specifies the form “Memo” - maybe that is why it is not coming up as a response document. Perhaps if you specify the form “Reply” (or some other Response Document form) then you will get the behaviour you want.

Hi Leonardo,Thanks a lot for your help,

Yes, this is the formula(button) I am talking about, agree with you, the Reply button and Forward button on R6 mail template are different, Reply button use Reply form which is a response form, but Forward button use Memo form which is not a response form, that is why Forward button does not create a response document($REF). But from the design help, the @Command([ComputeWithReference]) is creating a response document, I think it is wrong in the design help. It just create a normal document and dump the body field from the original document.

If I use the Reply form, it will be creating a response document, but I do not know whether this will affect other functions, because change Memo form to Reply is a big changes, and these two form has a different property. I do not want after I change this form, then other problems are coming up.

Any ideas without changing the form?
