Computed Subform formula

I have a compute subform formula:

@If(@IsMember(“[Admin]”;@UserRoles);“Finance”;“”)

It used to work fine…

Now, if it is computing to “”, the entire form is not rendering.

I created a subform called “Nothing”… I put nothing in the subform and saved it…

I changed formula to

@If(@IsMember(“[Admin]”;@userroles;“Finance”;“Nothing”)

It works now… but I am wondering if I am doing something wrong.

cause before I could use “” in the formula if I didn’t want to bring in a subform.

But now all of the sudden it isn’t working…

Anyone else ran into this issue?

If so… what did u do to fix it?

My first suspicion is that you are testing this out on a local copy of the database, or is it on a server?

If its local, you need to “enforce consistent acl across all replicas” for it to work on a local copy - user roles don’t work on a local copy unless you have this enabled in the ACL.

Hi Betsy,

You know, this sounds really familiar. I could have sworn I remembered this being a bug in some past version of Notes, but I can’t seem to find anything about it in the Fix List or the KBase now. (I might be remembering something from a long time ago, too - it all blends together after a while!)

Your post says you’re on 6.5.1 - any chance you can try upgrading to see if the problem resolves itself? If not, I’m not sure what else to try - I do the same thing in lots of my apps. (I’m on 6.5.3.)

As you are saying it is not working means, what are you getting when you test it?-----------------------------------

This formula is fine -->@If(@IsMember(“[Admin]”;@UserRoles);“Finance”;“”)

You can remove the “Nothing” subform and also remove the “subform” name from your formula.

As Tom said, make sure you have this checked “Enforce consistent ACL across all replicas” in the Advanced properties of Database ACL.

Very strange indeed.I always have the “” there when I don’t want a subform and it has always worked fine for me.

Out of curiosity I tested both in 6.5.3 and 7.0 and it works fine.

I am on the server…

I even just put in “” in the formula… And the rest of the form didn’t render…

when I removed the “” and put in “Finance” as my formula it worked fine…

In my status bar, I get:

Due to an error, this paragrah cannot be displayed.
