To be honest, I’m not sure if this is a “bug” or an “undocumented feature”. 
Up to and including Notes 8.0.2, you can have an editable rich text field to put an attachment, and then a computed rich text field to show it in read mode. (BTW, I use a computed subform with the same RT field - in edit mode and computed).
However, in 8.5.1, right-clicking on a file in a computed rich text field will have “Edit” grayed out, but double-clicking will allow the user to edit it! =8O
Is this a desired behavior, or is something wrong? Is there an additional step needed to have the correct behavior in 8.5.1?

Subject: Pictures Not Visible in the Computed Read Only Rich Text Field
I am having a similar issue as the initial poster. I also have 2 subforms set up with Rich Text Fields, one as an editable field to be displayed when a request form is in draft status, the other a computed rich text field copying the values of the editable field. The second subform is only readable since once the request is submitted the requester should not be able to edit the contents even though the form is in edit mode.
I am finding the attachments work fine using the computed field, but Pictures are not being displayed in the read only subform. I am seeing a picture box with a red X.
Does anyone have any information on this issue?
