Compress Document data field

Hello fellow Techs,

I have been working with the compression options in NDS 8.0.2…

Is there a way to enable the “Compress Document Data” in a mail file through a policy from the Domino console?

If so, would some be kind enough to provide instructions how to or, possible a link where I can get more information on this feature.

I have been reading the Notes 8 forum, can’t really find a topic that actually talks about enabling it through a policy. I hope this is not a manual task that has to be done at every client workstation.

Any suggestions will greatly be appreciated.

Subject: Administrators

Just open up your Notes Administrator, highlight the multiple mail files you want to enable compression on, then click on Database on the right, then Advanced properties and tick the 2 boxes for Compress Document Data.

keep in mind you have t6o do copy-style comapcting after.
