If you are writing a thoughtful posting, taking your time, its frustrating to click on the Post button only to be told your session has timed out and you have to log in again, losing everything you wrote. I am now in the habit of copying my posts to the clipboard, just in case and it happens a lot. Suggestion:
-
Increase the sessions to something reasonable - 30 minutes maybe
-
Or if you need to keep sessions short, can it be done in a way that your posting doesn’t disappear into hyperspace?
Subject: Complaint: Sessions timeout too quickly in this forum
Agreed!
Subject: Supposedly fixed. In a post dated Oct 1 2003…
Sign in (via the web) should be working properly now. Please let us know if you encounter any more problems with this new feature on LDD.
We increased the session cookie timeout within Domino and our IP sprayers substantially. Since the site is powered by many Domino servers, it’s possible that you could get any one of those servers. Increasing the timeout of the cookie/session will ensure that you’ll stay logged in during your entire session.
