Compacting from client

Hi,

This is regarding to the compacting from the client end of Lotus 8.When ever the users compacts from their desktop’s of their databases ,compacting doesn’t works.i observed this only in lotus 8 only.In earlier versions there are no issues.Is there any setting to be added in notes.ini on server.Any solutions/suggestions are requested.

Depending on the server’s load, a user initiated request to compact a database can be queued for a later time when the server has been afforded more resources to complete the task. Can you confirm that the compact never completes, or if this appears to not be taking place immediately?

Hi Dan,

Good to see your response,compacting happens after some hours,it is not taking immediately.

This i found in Lotus 8 version only,in earlier versions it happens very quickly.I myself saw in the server tasks of getting compacted in earlier versions.

Now i just want this compacting to be done immediately.pls let me know.
