We are running Domino 6.5.2 with Fix Pack 1 on Windows 2003 Ent. servers. We are having an issue with the compact task, since 2 month now, and notes support doesn’t have a solution so far.The compact task runs continuously, no matter what is the setting in the program doc. The only way to disable the compact is to rename the ncompact.exe (quit doesn’t help). The log looks the following:

Compact tries to compact different databases in every 20-30 minutes, but it can’t. (0 bytes recovered). If I manually issue a compact -B on these database, compact recovers the free space, and stops compacting the database for a while. But then it tries to compact other dbs.
Any idea ?
I tried to update the server to 6.5.3 FP1, but it didn’t help…
