Common name change not effect to groups

Dear Support

we are using domino 8.0 on aix with ibm box, lots of users registered on this box and these users are in different different OUs. problem is after we rename one of user (such as OU change) it’s not effect to mail group these user in . why this is happen, or is it change after 21 days ?

i am not sure if you know that this forum is NOT the IBM support, but a user/admin/developer forum…

few questions which may help us to help you:

  • how do your change the names?

  • how long did you wait to see the changes in the groups?

  • did you look into the admin4 db to see if any logs/errors occur during renaming?

Uwe is correct. This is not the official support forum (although we read it from time to time). If you need to contact support you should open a PMR.

With regards to your question if you read the admin help on renaming users you should find a flowchart which details what actions are taken and when and on what servers.
