@Command([RenameDatabase] .... just dings

We have retired a server many users have the icon with the old server. To switch icons I created a button in the email using the RenameDatabase command. When this button is pressed, Notes just dings. The database is not renamed and there are no error messages. Just a ding.

Databases are replicas of one another.

The only things I can think of are:

  1. The old server no longer exists.

  2. The new database is in a different directory than the old database.

Both of these reasons would be a poor reason for the command not to work but it is Lotus Notes.

Any other ideas why this command would not be working?

I found a post in the Notes 4/5 forum that said they solved the problem. It refeerenced a tech note with a bad link. I searched the tech Notes and found this.

@Command ([ RenameDatabase ]) using, it searched replica with the server whom it appoints, it drew up the action which substitutes the present database idea contest in the database idea contest of replica.

When this action is executed when the database idea contest of replica of the server who with respect to another work space from the work space where the present database idea contest is added, is appointed has already been added, phenomenon such that the picture of the database idea contest collapses, is piled up with the other database idea contest occurs.

Solution:

This problem is reported to Lotus Quality Engineering as an obstacle number MKUA4Q2986.

Like below it is verified that phenomenon occurs.
