I have a client that previously created journal databases on a weekly basis. Now they want those databases combined into monthly databases so they can search through them easier.
Each of these databases contain upwards of 70K documents each for the past 6 months.
What is the best way to go about doing this?

Cut and paste would require too much effort since you can only cut and paste approximately 2000 documents at a time. I have 24 databases with over 70,000 documents in each.
I thought about an agent, but was hoping for something that would take less time than it does for a glacier to melt.

Creative use of Archiving will take care of your requirements: documents combined into common files, no Copy/Paste, no new agents, AND your identity does not get attached to each document.
Use File,Database,Properties to get to the Archiving Settings of the weekly databases and
1-specify that you want to archive all documents not modified in the last day and
2-specify the same file name (create a new monthly first or use an existing weekly ) for all of the weeklies in a month.
3-On the server Load Compact -A for each of the weeklies.
You will need to reset the database Title for the Monthly as Archiving will update it each time. Also, check the ACL for any unwanted changes.
