A user recently reported (and I was able to reproduce) an anomaly when using the “Print selected view” option in the Print dialog box. The view properties are set for multiple line column headings, and on screen the column headings wrap appropriately so that all the header text is visible. However, when the view is printed (or previewed for printing) some of the spaces between words act like nonbreaking spaces, so that the header text does not wrap appropriately.
Some wrapping does occur; I might get two header lines rather than the four that are displayed on screen, and both lines are cut off at both ends.
After a couple of very frustrating hours I discovered that if I set the column header text in a monospaced font all the spaces between words are recognized and the text wraps appropriately within the column header space, but this is ugly, and shouldn’t be necessary.
I have found nothing about similar problems either in the Notes Knowledge Base or in this forum. Has anyone else encountered anything like this, and is there a real solution available rather than an ugly workaround? [We’re running N/D 6.5 here in The Land That Time Forgot, if that makes a difference. My client is at 6.5.4; our Notes Administrator has told me that the servers are at 6.5.5]
Many thanks in advance for any help anyone can offer.
