Column Color - With a Profile Document

Hi,

I am trying to set up the column color to be based on a profile document.

I have followed the exact steps as give in the help database.However when i try to create a document in the view with the Column Property set to

“Use Value as Color”

“User Definable”

i get a [Replication or Save conflict]and the colors do not appear.

also i have noticed that when i open the view with the above properties set ,it always prompts me to save the view without making any changes.

Your help is appreciated.

I had this same problem and fixed it by putting @UserName as the column formula for the color column.

This took me ages to figure out and thought someone might appreciate what I found.

Disect the mail template to see how it is done.

Look at the calendar profile form, where the color options are set, then look at the Inbox folder to see how they are used.

This is late but hopefully it will help someone. The problem is you set the column to User Definable and didn’t enter a function as the column’s source.
