I am opening a Navigator as a LeftFrame in the Frameset.
When I click on the menu item of my navigator , I need the color to be changed and also Bold while viewing in Notes Client.
There is an option , Higlight when clicked / when touched , with Border line and background color , but when I click the menu item it doesn’t change my text to a different color. and also make it bold.

Subject: Perhaps this is one of the reasons that Navigators were obsolesced as of R5
They’re an R4-era design element, and while some may still like them, I am certain that there’s no way to get text color to change as you desire.

Hope you are having one outline embedded in a page. Let’s say there are 5 outline links in your navigator which are embedded in the page on the left side of the frame.
Create 5 different outlines with no links to them. Also the same 5 different outlines with links to them. Note that these are to be separate outlines when compared to your outline with those 5 entries together which you can call as main outline which gets displayed when you open your frameset.
Create a Page1 by embedding the above “No link” (first)outline and then the other 4 separate outlines with links. Edit the embedded outline properties to change colour to Red or whatever and Bold as you wish.
Copy this page and paste it 4 times so that you have 5 pages now. You can name them. Make sure the 2nd page will have 2nd embedded outline link only as Red & Bold, 3rd page will have 3rd link only as Red & Bold etc…5th page will have the 5th link only as Red & Bold. Means, Make sure that one link will be Red & Bold (No link) and others will be embedded outline links all embedded separately.
When you open the frameset for the very first time, you will get the embedded outline in a page on the left frame which is what you are getting now. When user clicks on the first link, make sure you open the “page1” on the left and the corresponding info on the right frames. When they click on the 5th link, make sure you open Page5 on the left and corresponding info as per your requirement on the right frame etc.
This way you can have the color change/bold whichever way you set in those 5 pages, will be visible. User will not know that you are replacing the pages.
