when I create a new section in a RT field it always has the expand and collapse rules always default to “Don’t Auto Expand or Collapse”. How can I change the default? Is there a user pref or INI file setting I can change? I want the default to be always collapsed.

Saw the same post in the R5 forum. Are you creating these sections on-the-fly in a RichText field? If so, you can create a RichTextNavigator and ‘navigate’ to the NotesRichTextSection you want. Then use the IsExpanded property accordingly. See the R6 Designer Help for further details on the reliability of the function.
