We will be upgrading our servers, operating systems and Domino (eventually) to Windows 2008 64-bit with Domino 8.5.1 64-bit. We have over 300 32-bit servers currently running Windows 2000 Server with Domino 7.0.3. Several of them are clustered. My question is, if one server of a cluster is upgraded, but the clustered server is not, will the cluster still work?
I know that you can cluster servers running different OS and Notes versions, but can you also cluster 32-bit and 64-bit servers?

Jenifer,
That’s the elegance of NOS. It provides a layer between the OS, versions and the underlying architecture of the individual servers interacting with each other. You are not replicating properties particular to a server. You are simply replicating data between two Domino servers via the Notes API and as a result this data is agnostic as far the aforementioned platform particulars are concerned.
Cheers

Make sure all your 3rd Party Add-Ins utilizing the Notes API running on the Domino Server you are upgrading to 64 BIT Domino are available in a 64BIT format as they will need to be upgraded at the same time…

I have one 64 bit Windows 2008 server in a cluster with 4 other servers that are running 2003. We’ve had no problems at all.
