I don’t understand how a clustered server environment can load balance when the client has a location document that points them to a specific server. How should we set up our client location documents to take advantage of load balancing?

The client and server have background code to deal with that. The address book knows you are clusterd, the client knows you are clustered, the servers in a cluster knows you are clustered.If you search in LDD, I’m sure there are more technical answers for you but that’s the jist as I understand it.

Our clustered environment is failing over but it doesn’t look it’s load balancing. Is there a server setting or a notes.ini setting that we may need to adjust?

It’s right - there is a notes.ini setting to set failover on the number of users. Search in the Admin-Help for “Server_MaxUsers”
