Cluster : Server_Restricted & sending Unread Marks

Set our disaster recovery server (DR) ini to Server_Restricted=2 to prevent a user from accessing mail on this server. Then used AdminP to replicate several mail files to the DR server with settings to “Copy ACL” and “Exchange Unread marks on replication.”

However, the AdminP log ( Accelerated Create Replica ) shows that the mail file was not fully replicated. Only the replica stub was created (below.)

Accelerated Create Replica:

Title: Administration Requests Path: admin4.nsf

Unable to replicate and exchange unread marks due to the following error: Server error: Access to this server has been restricted by the administrator

; Received the status – Accelerated Create Replica request not supported for DAOS enabled databases. – trying to create mail<username>.nsf on Somerset/Maiden; a replica creation request has been generated for further processing.

I was able to sucessfully replicate full mail files without the Server_Restricted=2. Is there a better way to build up the DR cluster and prevent user sessions from switching over ?

Take the servers out of LocalDomainServers doc and Restrict access to the All Server Documents View in the NAB that way the End User wouldn’t know the new servers existed. Then do all your work.
