Hi,
My client have some confidential database and want to unauthorized any of his user to export any data.
So we have disable the ACL option “Replicas or copy document” so the users cannot create a replicas of the database, print documents or copy/paste data from documents but they can export to file text.
In differents suggestions i have found the idea to remove some line in the notes.ini (VIEWEXP) but in this case the export item cannot work on any database.
I have found a code on notes.net (forum 4 & 5) to disable a menu item throw DLL but i have tested it and it doesn´t work on Lotus Notes r6.5/7, i don´t know if it work with an other version
So i want to know if you know how i can disable the menu item File/Export for a database ?
Thank´s for your answers
Subject: How disable menu item on client for a database
I have tested the code from :http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/46dom.nsf/55c38d716d632d9b8525689b005ba1c0/490d229fc49623d285256b8f007765ac?OpenDocument
And put this code in the postopen database event (replacing the item code 12 by 15).
It’s work the first time you open the file menu but wihtout any change you re-open it, the Export is enable again… GGRRrrr !.
Please help it’s very urgent and important for the security validation product for my client.
I have see one time a code to enable/disable menu itm in Lotus Notes with and Java applet does anyone know it ?

Sorry… in fact when you disable the ACL option “Replicate or copying document” the user cannot create a replicas of the database, copy/paste text, print a document AND EXPORT.
This does’nt work on the database of my client only because all documents, create before this option is disabled, doesn’t have the field $KeepPrivate = “1”.
But this work well on the new documents, the solution is to put this field on all old documents.
