Hi all,
I intend to close a document without saving it to my view.
Is there a way to code it such tat i can bypass the irritating prompt window that keep requesting me to “Do you want to save this document”
Many thanx in advance

Hi,Try this…
Create a hidden reserved field with name ‘SaveOptions’ with default value “0” in it, this will stop that prompt . but remember if you want to save that doc then you have to make its value to “1”.

Hello hengshi,
Make a field named “SaveOptions” and whenever you don’t want to save the document just set it’s value to 0 and when you wan’t save the document set it 1.
eg.
’ save only if you want to
Call Uidoc.Save()
'before closing the document set it as
Call UiDoc.FieldSetText(“SaveOptions”,“0”)
Call UiDoc.refresh()
Call UiDoc.Close()
The prompt window will be skipped.
Hope this helps.
