Environment : Laptop ,win2000/XP,Lotus notes 6.5.2
Hello Everybody,
To synchronyse password between active directory and lotus notes 652(client),
we have to enable the option “Client Single Logon feature”…and we have to find
any solutions to upgrade this option on each client station (1000 users)…I tried to
customize lotus notes installation with Lotus Notes Tuner and tried to install it with silent
parameter (.msi and .mst),but this option has not been activated.
Is there a simple way to upgrade all client with this option, like a dll to register and some
parameter to put in registry…?
Any idea would be appreciated.
Thanks.

Subject: Client Single Logon feature
Personnaly, I found the option “Client single login feature” a very bad security hole. We all know how unsecure can be Microsoft - the whole idea of the Notes security is that it is driven by public / private encryption key stored in the ID file…
Now with this feature activated, your Notes password is changed to match the NT password, so if your NT password is hacked, so is your Notes password.
This being said - I beleive this option is chosen during installation, so I am not sure it is possible to enable that option without reinstalling… although I am not a sys admin.
Good luck!

If someone have a idea …don’t hesit …

Hi!
You have to include the feature and you have to set the service to Automatic (in the installshield tuner). The Notes client is sencitive about beeing in the right directories and earlier versions of the ND6 client did not work with the multi user option.
With 6.53 and later versions I know this works.
