Client features missing

We recently upgrade our servers to Domino 9 and have started to update clients to 9. On the first couple of client updates some features seem not to be available. (We have converted the mail template to 9 also). For example, while the new abbreviated dates show up, the option to Group by Dates is not available. Also showing the beginning of a message is not available. I have been unsuccessful at finding what may be causing the problem and how to fix it. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance.

Yes, I am sure. After I converted the mail template to 9, then I tried replace design on the chance that in some way it failed initially, but still am missing the option to group by date and show the beginning of a message.

  1. What client version you were updated from? Were you upgrading in this order Domino → Client → mail template? Any step you did besides these?
  2. Did the ‘Replace Design’ completed w/ error? ( Prefer performing ‘Replace Design’ w/ mail db closed. You can do it from Workspace, or Bookmark after you drag the mail db to it )
  3. Did you Restart mail db after Replace Design?
  4. When you saw missing the menu options for ‘Group by Dates’ and ‘Beginning of Message’, what view your were in, ( Beginning of Message only available for Inbox)
  • Unread veiw?
  • was a Thread subview open
  • was ‘Who’ or ‘Subject’ column, or any non Date column sorted by then
  1. Try to delete data\workspace.config directory after closing Notes, and see does it help.

I recently upgraded my client to 9 social edition including the mail template.When i open the mail for istance inbox in the show option the Group by Dates is not available. Also showing the beginning of a message is not available. I have been unsuccessful at finding what may be causing the problem and how to fix it. Any suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance.
