Client Crashes with #3A:F2

In our company now i got the second Client within a Week that crashes during every start with the error message #3A:F2, no more description.

a re-install in the same data-directory does not change anything. even an update to 8.0.2 FP2 does not help.

only a new clean notes-install is possible.

If so, can you post the FATAL THREAD section of the NSD files with the few lines under it

Subject: no nsd file

but i found the following in the console.log:

the client seem to crash because of a mime to cd error in names.nsf???

Subject: Now 8.5.2, same problem and our solution

The post is long time ago now, but we had the same problem with 8.5.2 now and I didn’t find any info anywhere.In our case the problem was the location= entry in the notes.ini. I could not find the specific cause, but it contained the German Umlaut “ß”.

I deleted the line, got the question for the current location at next Notes startup and all works fine.

Maybe it helps anyone…
