When I try to setup a client for a roaming user, the client crashes after replicating the roaming databases, just after the dialog to select the Location has been answered. After the crash, the client (including Admin and Designer) will not start up again (German message: Spezielles Datenbankobjekt fehlt) with already registered IDs and needs a complete reinstall.
The problem appeared after migrating from 8.5 to 8.5.1 on both the server as well as the client. During the migration, the server and domain was changed, the NSFs were copied over after the users had been registered anew with the new server in the new domain. The files which were created during registration were subsequently replaced by the old one, however manually upgraded to the new templates. Also, the owners/ACLs the new server has been promoted to Admin Server of the files.
The problem appears on both Win as well as Mac (Eclipse client). Opening the files with Domino Admin works fine, as does iNotes and BES access.
