after upgrade client to 6.5.3 it can’t connect to server when connecting using “HTTP Tunnel” with authorization setup. 6.5.1 also had some issue when connected over “HTTP tunnel” that require authorization: if length of login 5 or 8 simbols it can authorize on proxy, if login length 4,6 or 7 symbols it refuse perform authorization and say it can’t connect with proxy. proxy logs also shows that client simply dosen’t try to authenticate.

I would like to confirm that this is still a problem with Notes client 7.0.1!!!
I have location document proxy settings configured with hostname/port in http tunnel section and set the username/password.
Using Ethereal Network analyzer to look at the traffic.
When the proxy username is 7 characters, the http CONNECT packet proxy-authentication section includes the username but NOT the password.
If I change the username to 8 characters, the http CONNECT packet proxy-authentication section includes the password.
Needless to say, this is a problem.
