Just upgraded the client/designer/admin client to 8.5.2. With the client open, when I try to open designer, the drive spins buy nothing happens. If I close the client and open Designer directly, it starts right up no problem.
Same thing happens in reverse. With designer open, the client won’t open. As soon as I close designer, the client will open fine.
Anyone else have a similar problem?

I assume you’re trying to launch the standard client and not the basic.
Subject: Replace Workspace directory
Delete the Workspace folder and relaunch. That worked for me. If that doesn’t work, delete the Framework folder.

I started with 8.0 client/designer/administrator and all was well.
When I upgraded to 8.5.2 I had a lot of errors and I had to uninstall all.
I did a new fresh installation and I got the same error: client and designer couldn’t be opened at the same time.
Today I uninstalled and reinstalled client/designer/administrator again in a different path, but the problem is the same: client and designer cannot been opened together.
I cannot reinstall windows…any suggestion for fixing the problem?

I can’t run Designer and Notes client together in 8.5.2 either. I am quite sure that I could for a period of time but I can’t now. I am running Windows 7.

If client is open i can start admin but not designer doesn’t matter if I click on left panel icon, or launch from windows menu
If designer is started first i can open client & admin…
WHY?
