Clearing Notes Client Build Information from Person documents

In each Person document there is an area containing the Notes client machine, Notes client build, Notes client platform, and the time this information was last updated.

Without writing an agent, is there a way to clear part of all of this area? Is there a danger in clearing this information?

I ask because I want to see the real spread of users in the environment. Of little use to me is a log on from 2007 or a log on using equipment no longer in inventory.

Is there any way to clear the info and “inventory” again ?
