I have a problem i like to discuss. We have computers that we lend out to users but i dont want to reinstall Notes all the time to get it “clean” for every different user. Do anyone know what files i can change/remove so that it look like a clean installation for each user?
Subject: Single or Multi-user
Are you using single or multi-user installs?
For Multi-User:
- Simply delete the C:\Documents and Settings<username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Lotus folder
For Single-User:
-
Delete the notes.ini out of the program directory
-
Delete the following files out of the data directory (you may want to back them up first):
cache.ndk
bookmarks,.nsf
names.nsf
desktop6.ndk
user.id
-
The only other things you may want to delete out of the data directory are any user-created databases
Subject: names.nsf
But if i delete the names.nsf woul Notes recreate that file for the new user?
