"check for new mail every ? minutes" does not work anymore

After changing the prefered server (and putting it back to the value) on the replicator page i may fill in any value i want in the “check for new mail every ? minutes” box in “user preferences” but it is ignored and will not work anymore.

example:

  • scheduled replication: 5min

  • check for new mail: 1min

Mails will be delivered with a 5min, the scheduled replication, interval.

I had foud a simple solution on the i-net but failed to bookmark the URL.

I know it did implement to remove or reset a value in the NOTES.INI file, and restarting the notes client but i can not find it back.

Anyone has an idea?

Try this:

Turn all notification settings OFF. Save. Close Notes.

Delete the ‘NewMailSeqNum’ lines from Notes.INI

Ensure that you do not have any “Before New Mail Arrives” agents running.

Restart Notes, turn the Notification setting(s) back on. See what happens.

Folowing those steps did the trick.

However i also deleted the “NewMailInterval” line from Notes.ini.
