Changing the subject line

I am a new Notes users with extensive Outlook experience.

One feature I cannot find and is very frustrating is the inability to edit the subject line of an email in my inbox.

Many times email threads get hijacked by users and the content in no way, shape, or form resembles the subject line.

I find it useful to reset the subject line before continuing the thread or filing into a folder. It is a real time saver when filing emails, searching for an older email, or just getting the email thread back on track.

I know I can forward it to myself and do it but that is a lot of make work for something as simple as this. I have Googled and searched the forums. Someone asked the same question in Jan 2015 but no replies.

Figured I will give this forum a chance.

Thanks in advance.

Subject: Ctrl-E, change the subject, save and do not email.

Or if replying, just change the subject before hitting send.

I agreed with Carl, that is the best option that you can do for notes.
