Hi Mark,

I think it is not possible to change the default color through notes.

But as a Admin, one can change the color…

  1. Open the user’s mail file in designer.

  2. Under Forms–> Memo (double click on the memo form)

  3. it will show a warning msg, click OK

  4. In designing form, at the bottom(3rd from last), u can see the field name called “Body”.

  5. Double click on it–> Field property will open

  6. Go to 4th tab–> u can change the default font settings including color.

After that just save the form.

Yes, it will show a warning. And you should heed this warning. Any changes to the mail template can void your support contract, not to mention the fact that the changes will be overwritten the next time the Designer task runs and updates the mail files from the server template.

I assume they know about the permanent pen feature/smart icon and don’t want to have to click on that?

I think you could even create a smart icon to do the create new memo and change the font colour, but this wouldn’t be any good for replies / forwards / Control-M.

Hi,

U can add a toolbar icon to choose the font color. but it will be appiled for that memo only.

Steps to add toolbars icon:

  1. Open the mail box

  2. Files–>Preferences–>Toolbar Preferences → Customize–> Choose Text Properties icon–> click on “Save Toolbar”–> Then ok. It will add a toolbar.
