Hi
A Notes application has a button to send an e-mail and include a URL link - the button builds the syntax of the URL link and uses @MailSend to include this link in the body of the e-mail. The URL link looks something like the following =
"http://server/db.nsf/3b7cccf04e67d90c85257278007376d8/E9611A78887B59F6852572970074DB72/$FILE/example%20for%20barry.pdf
"
Is there any way to change the URL link text to something like “click here to open document”, and have the link point to the URL above?
Many thanks.

Where are you sending the link to? If it’s another Notes e-mail application, why not just send a doclink? If not, use an anchor tag whatever you want the link to say. Most e-mail applications will show an html link, or if not, they will at least display the link and text. you can even do this if sending to another Notes client, just make sure that the MIME type is set correctly.

Set result = doc.CreateMIMEEntity(“Body”) Dim hdr As NotesMimeHeader
’ text entity, encoding type ENC_NONE
Dim stream As NotesStream
Dim session As New NotesSession
Set stream = session.CreateStream
stream.WriteText(|
to begin.
|)
result.SetContentFromText stream, “text/html”, ENC_NONE
Call doc.CloseMIMEEntities(True, “Body”) ’ finalize pending changes into the document.

Thanks to both for your suggestions.
