Our company was sold last year and as a result we had to change the hierachical name of every user in Lotus Notes.
Now when a user modifies and re-issues a calendar entry which they originally created before the names were changed, the invitees names contain the old hierachical name and the inviter gets a delivery failure. The only solution I have so far is that the inviter has to remove all invitees and then add them back in again. The invitees then have to accept or decline again.
We have some secretaries here who created in December many invites to monthly/weekly meetings for 2009. Of course these all contain the old names. Now when they make a change to any meeting and re-issue, they get the delivery failure.
I thought the renaming process would update all calendar entries this but that doesn’t appear to be the case. Is there anyway we can get around this? The secretaries do not want to remove and re-add all invitees each time they make a change to a calendar.
