Change form to display in Embeded editor

Hi

I have a form (fmCompany) for company info. I have another form for contact info (fmContact). I can have more than I contact per company. The contact form is a response to the company form. On the company form I have an embedded view and next to it I have an embedded editor. When I open a company document I see all the contacts in the embedded view for that company. When I select a contact I would like to see the contact info in the embedded editor - this works very well ;o)

My problem is that I would like to use a different form to display the contact info in the embedded editor - the contact form itself has a lot of extra fields that I do not need to see when in the company form. I created a new form (fmDispContact) that only has a couple of fields from the fmContact form. I then changed the form formula in my embedded view to read “fmDispContact” - unfortunately I still have the fmConact form displayed when I select anything in the embedded view.

Am I doing something wrong or is this not possible in notes?

Thanking you for any answers given

Subject: Change form to display in Embeded editor

Hello Ursus,

I am just facing the same situation. Have you managed to find a solution?

BTW, there is an option to hide elements if the form is embedded in an editor but I would like to use also the different font and also it would be nice to change the structure of the form when embedded. My idea was to have two parts of the form. 0ne for normal form use and another for embedded editor. But then I found out that I am not able to hide the second part when it is not need.

I would really appreciate your feedback.
