Change DNS name of Traveler server

We will add another DNS name to the travelerserver. Is it possible to get the Traveler clients to use the new DNS-name?

(company X.com has a new name Y.com and because of this all server will use the new DNS name)

I cannot find any settings in LotusTraveler.nsf (admin database) to push out the new settings.

On the devices (mostly iPhone and some Android and Windows Phone) it is NOT possible to manually change server. On iPhone the user have to delete Exchange profile and add it again, on Android the user need to “clear data”. This is not user friendly!!! Can we automate?

Subject: external server URL

You’ll want to modify the external server url field on the Traveler tab in the server document, but as you indicated this will only help new profiles, there really isnt a way traveler can modify existing installations.

If both hostnames will remain accessible, while transitioning you could consider using a url redirection rule so that once requests get to serverA.com they rcvd a 302 redirect to https://serverB.com https://serverb.com/
