Just wondeirng how come I can’t change my Lotus Notes default font and size in Notes Client (default is Sans Serif, size 10). Every time when I make a new memo, I have to manualy change from the dropdown menu there to Times New Roman and size 12. Is there any way to make font and size as what I want in default?
Subject: Try this …
File → Preferences → Basic Notes Client Config → Default Fonts
Subject: Does it work?
Actually, I have already tried this.
File → Preferences → Basic Notes Client Config → Default Fonts
It does not affect a new memo even if I changed it to Arial. Also, I didn’t see font zise change there.
Still, my default setting is Sans Serif, size 10.
you know what is happening this?
Subject: Designer Client
I used the designer client to change the properties of the Body field in the Memo form of the Mail template.

I have the same problem… I figured out how to set defaults fonts (i.e., which default font for monospace (courier new), which default font for non-monospace (verdana), etc… but: how can I make Courier New the DEFAULT font for when I compose messages?? also need to set default font size, in pts… “small”, “medium” ,“large” is too limited, there should be more choices to set exact size of font… thank you…
Subject: Make sure the restart your client
I applied changes to the File> Preferences> Basic Notes Client Configuration Default Fonts. It is only applied after the client had been restarted. It is important to change the default sans serif one, because this is the one that Lotus defaults to using for new messages.
